Зашел в свое отделение ПФР, узнать, что в данный момент надо делать или не делать со своими накоплениями. Сотрудницы фонда сначала очень удивились, что меня это интересует ("Сколько мы здесь работаем, вы третий, кто за этим сюда пришел"), потом стали искать ответ на мой вопрос. Целый консилиум собрали, так как по отдельности никто ничего не знает. После получаса обсуждений вынесли вердикт: "Вы не переживайте за свою пенсию. Пока вы до нее доживете, там схему еще десять раз поменяют. И вообще, что бы вы не делали, вас всё равно надуют". В устах сотрудниц ПФР это звучит обнадеживающее.












I dropped in the Russian Pension Fund's office to learn what should I do (or should not) with my retirement savings. The Fund's employees at first expressed their surprise that someone was interested in it at all ("For all the time we've been working here, you are the third person who has come for that reason"); then they started looking for an answer to my inquiry. They called the meeting for that, since no one in particular had got a faintest idea about how Russian pension system worked. After half-an-hour discussion they've told me not to bother much about my future pension: "By the time you'll be eligible, they'll change the system ten times. Besides, whatever you do with your savings, you'll be cheated anyway". When such an admission is made by the government service's employee, that sounds very hopeful.
