I've just realized how damn lucky I am that me and my children weren't born with allergies, hemophilia and dozens of other deficiencies millions of people suffer from birth. Taking into consideration the sheer number of potential inborn defects, to avoid all of them is blessing similar to crossing a minefield without stepping on the mine.

А ведь мне дико повезло, что я и мои дети родились без аллергии, гемофилии и прочих врожденных болезней, от которых страдают миллионы людей с самого рождения. Учитывая просто количество таких врожденных дефектов, то, что нам удалось их всех избежать, равносильно тому, как пройти по минному полю невредимым.
