На Старой площади ко мне обратился негр со словами: "Good morning, sir. Could you spare some money for food?"

Я рефлекторно ответил: "Sorry, man, mind your business", и только затем сообразил, что для Торонто, например, такой диалог был бы совершенно заурядным, но у входа в Администрацию Президента РФ он звучит как-то out of place.

At Staraya Square a black man approaches me saying (in English): "Good morning, sir. Could you spare some money for food?"

I reply automatically (also in English): "Sorry, man, mind your business"... and a few seconds later I  realize that somewhere in, say, Toronto, such conversation would be absolutely trivial but at the  entrance of the Russian President's Office it sounds somewhat out of place.
