I found out that nearly all the New-Year-tree decorations in my childhood were made in this factory in the town of Klin. And the factory not only has survived in the turbulent 1990s but flourishes. Anyone from the street may receive here the skills of a glass-blower and a decorations artist. Me and Lena have immediately tried ourselves in this craft, I made a New Year glass ball for my junior son. However, the craftspeople here have wages of 17000 RR (US $550) for their health-harmful labor, so we hardly can consider that craft as a way of making living.
